Save $75 by having more fun.
The entertainment book is a pay for coupon book available in over 100 cities. I’ve partnered with entertainment so that if you buy it through this website, you save $10. I have been using the Denver edition for 2 years.
The Denver book is $30 ($20 with discount). The first page has four safeway coupons for $5 off $50 in groceries. I’m sure that at some point in the year I will buy $50 worth of groceries at least 4 times. This pays for the book right here. The next page gives you a free block buster rental and popcorn.
Then follows 200 coupons for finer restaurants, mostly buy one get one free meal coupons. We’ll figure you’ll eat at least 4 of these restaurants in a year. As an added bonus you’ll probably discover a new favorite place to eat. There is a great Mongolian BBQ right near my house that I discovered the first year I bought an entertainment book.
Skipping the 80 informal / fast food coupons, you get to the attractions section. There are 6 movie theatre chains in the Denver edition. The one closes to me offers 6 coupons for $6 off admission for two (sometimes it’s only $3 off depending on the movie, so we’ll count it as an average of $5). I’ve used four of these coupons already this year.
Book: $20
Groceries: -$20
Free Blockbuster movie/popcorn: -$5
Dining Out: -$40 (4 * $10)
Movie Theatre: -$30 (6 * $5)
TOTAL: $75 savings
If those are the only coupons you used, that is $75 you have saved and had a great time doing it. There are also a lot of other coupons such as hair cuts, dry cleaning, photo, auto service, and much more.
