Americans aren’t saving
A new article up on CNNMoney says that the US is the worst country of 44 surveyed for saving money. 22% of americans spend all of there money and are living pay check to pay check. Saving is important, and while I agree with the “pay yourself first” school, if you don’t have control of your own spending, those savings aren’t going to do you much good.

I used to be one of those folks who didn’t save a penny. And I had a lot of reasons why I didn’t. Mostly, it was because I didn’t feel like I owned any of the money coming through my hands. It all belonged to someone else. After spending a lot of time with Your Money or Your Life, I have learned that if I don’t take care of myself, no one else will. The only route to getting out of debt is building some savings. Whether you are in charge of your finances or not, you literally can’t afford being a non-saver.
